HOW AND WHERE CAN YOU GET BARCODE?
EAN code gets in Turkey from National Product Number Centre which connects to Turkey Chamber and Exchange Confederation (TOBB).
Manufacturer, exporter, importer and distributor firms to use EAN-UCC system has to apply NPNC to become member. NPNC gives member EAN-UCC company number. This number belong to that company and use by that company.
To get application forms and enquiry fees apply for member can get information from National Product Number Centre.
Turkey performs EAN 13 barcode standard. Type and specialty as stated below table.

As seen on table first 3 digits represent country code. Turkey’s country code is 869.
After country code next 4 digits are keeping for company code. Company code should not be 4 digits. Type of product digit number can changeable. This number can give by National Product Number Centre to manufacturer or distributor companies. Other company can not use this number
Next 5 digits are product code given by manufacturer. Products code digits increase or decrease by type of products. Manufacturer can use these 5 digits as wish. Only in medical sector first two digits specify by Health Minister to recognize medication package (tablet, syrup, powder etc)
5 digits of production code use by company freely but codes given regulation of rules.
Last digit is control number. It is control of first 12 digits read correctly. Calculate other 12 numbers.
